Hardwood Floor Refinishing

Hardwood refinishing service, also known as “Screen and Coat”, is a maintenance process that protects your hardwood, laminate and LVP floors. This process brings back the beauty and luster of your floors faster and at a fraction of the cost of full sanding.

First, the floor is thoroughly cleaned, then the existing polyurethane finish is lightly abraded (screened) without removing a significant amount of wood like full sanding. After screening, a fresh coat of polyurethane is applied to the floor. Floors are now protected, beautiful and typically ready for foot traffic within hours!

When to consider a screen and recoat?

  • Hardwood floors appear dull or has light scratches.

  • When you want to refresh the look of your floors without a major restoration and all of the dust.

  • When you need a faster option. Floors are typically usable within hours of last application.

  • When you want a less disruptive and less expensive option.
